From One Tree Hill to three-dog house: Actress Sophia Bush, 28, has adopted a 7-week-old Pit Bull puppy named Griffin.
“The newest addition to my family,” Bush said in a Twitter post on June 1. “World, meet Griffin. My heart is bursting.”
Griffin was one of eight puppies born to Jasmine, a Pit Bull who was pregnant when she was rescued from euthanasia by Wags and Walks, a Los Angeles-area shelter; the facility won DogTime’s 2011 $10K Petties Grant.
Griffin joins Bush’s two other Pit Bulls – Penny and the one-eyed Patch.
Bush starred in the television series One Tree Hill and was featured in the 2007 movie remake of 1986’s The Hitcher.
The 2012 Petties nominations are now open.
