You may remember last year that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got in a bit of trouble for failing to declare their two Yorkshire Terriers upon arrival in Australia. The couple faced prison time and rumor was that their beloved Yorkies might be put down for the infraction. But the situation has been resolved, and as part of their punishment, the couple was forced to do a public service announcement about Australian Biosecurity.
The original video is as hilarious as it is disingenuous. The couple sits together reading off lines of dialogue about the importance of declaring everything and how wonderfully direct the people of Australia are about their laws. Well the internet love-hates the video, and they’re tearing it apart. Like this video from Facebook:

I think my favourite bit is right at the start when Depp goes to read Heard’s line but then realises he is a second tier character

We couldn’t resist getting in on the action, as well, drawing comparisons between Johnny Depp’s guilty face and the mug of our old pal, Denver the guilty dog.
I guess the lesson we all learned from this is, in the immortal, mumbled words of Johnny Depp, “Declare errthimm memu enner Australia. Thanes.”
Will we ever see such honesty in an acting performance in our time? Do you think the couple deserves a movie deal for all of this? Let us know in the comments below!
