The “Family Ties” actor shared the news of the pup’s arrival with a picture of himself cuddling with the very hairy canine.

“Hey Blue, welcome to your new home!” the caption read.

Tracy Pollan, Fox’s wife of over 30 years, also shared the news on her Instagram, this time via video in an Instagram Story. The clip featured Blue playing with another pup.

“Best friends,” she wrote over the vid.

Celebrity pals were quick to welcome Blue into the fold.

“Oh my gosh!! So cute,” Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore commented.

“THIS IS CRAZY NUTS! What a gorgeous girl! Tell her Auntie Ali can’t wait to play…” actress Ali Wentworth added.

Many commenters remarked on the fluffer’s resemblance to Einstein due to his wild hair.

Emotional Support Animals

This isn’t Fox’s first rodeo with a dog. Almost two years ago, in April 2021, his 12-year-old pup Gus passed away.

“Gus — great dog and loyal friend, we’ll miss you,” Fox wrote in an Instagram post at the time of the dog’s death.

The actor called the Great Dane-Labrador mix a “wonder dog” during his health struggles due to his longtime diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

“I didn’t rescue Gus,” Fox wrote in his memoir, “No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality,” published in 2020. “You can argue that he rescued me, but he’d be too modest to make that claim.”

Fox also sang Gus’ praises during a CBS primetime special, “The Pet Project,” which aired in November 2020.

“You know that no matter your situation, no matter what you feel, this animal is with you and is connected to you,” Fox said at the time. “It’s a force multiplier.”

May the force of Blue be with you now, Michael!
