Five States With the Most Spoiled Dogs, According to Forbes Advisor Survey

Forbes Advisor released a survey that determined which states have the most spoiled dogs. While the results of the survey are not shocking, the metrics used to determine which dogs receive the most spoil revealed some rather funny habits among doggy parents.

The survey included 5,002 dog parents. Each answered questions relating to the amount of investment, emotional and financial, they put into their pooch. Forbes Advisor focused on specific aspects of dog parents’ investment in their pups. Some of the metrics include:

Five States With the Most Spoiled Dogs

  1. New York: New Yorkers are the most likely to spoil their dogs. 25 percent of the New Yorkers surveyed have pushed their pup in a stroller at some point, and 59 percent of them have bought their dogs outfits or accessories.
  2. California: Californians are the second most likely to spoil their pups. They are most likely to treat their pups to a special snack from a restaurant.
  3. Washington: Washingtonians are third most likely to spoil their dogs, with 52 percent of them taking their pups on vacation.
  4. Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania is number four on the list. 64 percent of Pennsylvanians dress their pups in accessories and outfits.
  5. New Jersey: New Jersey may be geographically small, but its capacity to spoil its pups certainly isn’t. With the exception of New York dog parents, New Jersey dog parents are most likely to throw a birthday party for their furry friend.
