Sick Dog Saved After 7 Months Living Under Cars

When Hope for Paws heard of a sick dog living in a parking lot, they had to step in. Terrified of humans, the malnourished stray hid under cars and was just trying to survive day to day.

Volunteers Eldad Hagar and Lisa Chiarelli, arrived on scene and attempted to earn the stray’s trust with food. When that didn’t work, they had to use patience and let him tire himself out. Too weak to fight for long, he finally relented and accepted help and a few pats.

They named the stray pup Aaron and took him straight to the vet where he was treated for fleas, ticks and mange. They gave him food and a bath, and he fell asleep in Chiarelli’s arms. After having to be on guard 24 hours a day for so long, he was finally able to get some much needed rest and time to heal.

Within a few days he looked like a happy new dog and started learning that he could trust humans. He even made some new four legged friends.

Aaron is available for adoption through Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue.  As part of Adopt A Less Adoptable Pet Week, please share Aaron’s story and help find him a home! Visit Aaron’s adoption profile HERE!
