Authorities Recapture Man Accused of Shooting Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker

Authorities recaptured the man accused of shooting Lady Gaga’s dog walker, according to a Facebook post made by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

In April, a Los Angeles County jail released James Howard Jackson, one of five individuals charged in the high-profile dognapping that occurred last year, due to a “clerical error.”

Authorities Recapture Jackson

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detailed the capture in a statement via Facebook, ”With the assistance of the Special Enforcement Bureau, investigators executed a search warrant on Apricot Drive in the city of Palmdale. Suspect Jackson was apprehended without incident.”

19-year-old Jackson allegedly fired the gun that critically wounded dog walker Ryan Fischer. During the attack, Jackson and his accomplices successfully stole two of three of Gaga’s French Bulldogs. One of the individuals involved returned the dogs to the pop star to receive the million-dollar reward. Shortly after, authorities tied her to the incident and subsequently charged her for her involvement.

Ongoing Developments

During the trial for one of Jackson’s accomplices, Fischer gave an emotional testimony recalling the events of the crime that left him with a collapsed lung. At this time, the accomplice, Jaylin White, is the only one of the five assailants who took a plea deal.

Jackson plead not guilty to all charges associated with the incident, which include attempted murder. He currently sits in a Los Angeles County jail on $3 million bail. DogTime will continue to report on this developing story.
