Green Dogs: Try Dog Products Made From Recycled Materials, Or Make Your Own

If we’re being honest, being a dog parent means using a lot of products. From toys to poop bags to doggie diapers, it seems like we’re always buying something for our pups.

Obviously, our doggos deserve everything in the world and then some. However, that doesn’t mean we have to be wasteful in our quest to give our pups the best lives they can have.

There are plenty of fantastic options for dog products made of recycled materials that decrease your pup’s waste.

Using dog products made of recycled material is a small way to make a big impact on your pup’s waste.

The amount of trash that one pup produces when every product is new can pile up.

When you purchase products made from recycled material from eco-friendly brands, you minimize that waste in a significant way.

Where To Find Dog Products Made Of Recycled Material

There are several different options for finding dog products made of recycled material.

Cycle Dog, a brand that we previously lauded for their eco-friendly dog products, makes an array of toys, collars, bowls, and other gear out of recycled bicycle wheel inner tubes and soda bottles. Pretty neat, if you ask us.

If you’re looking for super durable rubber or rope toys made out of recycled material, Beco Pets is another good option.

If you’re on a budget, making your own doggy products from material you have around the house is another way to get eco-friendly. You can very easily make a rope toy out of old t-shirts.

You can also make a simple crinkle toy by tying an empty water bottle inside of an old sock.

If you’re willing to get creative, there really isn’t a limit on what you can make at home. Check out some more of our DIY doggy product ideas here and here.
