Celebs Who Have French Bulldogs

The French Bulldog was named the most popular dog breed in the United States in 2022 after a 31-year run of dominance by the Labrador Retriever. The lovable breed appears to be favorite of the famous as well. Who can forget the late great Carrie Fisher’s beloved Gary? Or Lady Gaga‘s whole French Bulldog ordeal? Here are a few celebs who have French Bulldogs.

Megan Thee Stallion

According Pop Sugar, rapper Megan Thee Stallion has six dogs, including two French Bulldogs – 4oe and Dos. The adorable 4oe even has his own Instagram account where you can keep up with his many adventures. You can catch him hanging with mom and doing Hot Dog Sh..well, you know the rest. He even showed off his high-five skills on The Tonight Show in 2022. “He’s my bestie,” the proud dog mom said.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Former wrestler, actor, and current XFL owner, Dwayne Johnson doubled the French Bulldog love by adopting Brutus and Hobbs (seen below). Unfortunately, Brutus passed away in 2015 after eating a poisonous mushroom. Johnson stated that he was painfully forced “to end Brutus’ suffering by taking him off of life support and sending his soul to pup heaven. I held his lil’ paw as he was finally at peace” (via USA Today). Hobbs, now 8-years-old, isn’t the greatest walking buddy.

“We walked Hobbs a mile down the road so he can get some fresh air and guess who gets to carry him all the way back home because he was too tired,” Johnson joked on Instagram, “I still love this lil’ SOB.”

Snoop Dogg

Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg experienced every dog parent’s worst nightmare when his French Bulldog Frank went missing in January 2022. Luckily, the pair were reunited a month later.

“I want to thank y’all for returning the dog back to us. We appreciate that. Frank made his way back home,” Snoop told his fans in an Instagram video. “We appreciate all the love and support we got on Instagram to get the dog back. And to the lovely couple that brought the dog back, I’ve got some gifts for y’all for looking out.”

Snoop’s “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” co-host, Martha Stewart, has two French Bulldogs of her own. My, what stories these three Frenchies could tell.

Reese Witherspoon

“Pretty Little Lies” actor Reese Witherspoon tragically lost her French Bulldog Pepper to cancer in October 2020. “Our sweet Pepper passed away yesterday. My goodness, she was such a loyal and devoted family member. I am so heart broken, but I am also deeply grateful for all the love and comfort she brought our family,” she wrote in a touching Instagram post. “Now she’s in dog heaven where all great pets go. Chasing tennis balls, running through open fields of wild flowers and being the Queen that she is. That’s what I believe. We will always love you, Pepper.”

The following month, Witherspoon welcomed a new French Bulldog into the family – Minnie Pearl. See all the Frenchie adorableness below:
