The viral clip shows the disabled dog — identified as Scooty, a senior pup — displaying extreme excitement when she sees her owner grab her wheelchair. Evidently, Scooty knew it was time for her to go outside and explore the world.

The senior pup had no intentions of playing it cool when she saw the wheelchair. She can be seen pacing back and forth in excitement, as though too eager to head outside with her owner.

The video was first posted on Jan. 26 along with the caption: “She loves her afternoon zoomies.” It has since received over 6.1 million views, and we can only guess that this number will continue to skyrocket.

While Scooty, the disabled dog, seems too full of life, one can’t tell she experienced a horrific life-changing event that nearly took away her life.

According to Newsweek, the senior dog has been in a wheelchair for many years, following a hit-and-run accident back in 2012 that left her with severe back and hip injuries. Unfortunately, the driver behind the accident left Scooty for dead.

Thankfully, a kind woman in California rescued and rehabilitated the injured pup. That’s how Scooty found a loving, forever home.

“I adopted Scooty 12 years ago after she had been hit by a car as a street dog in Mexico,” Erica, Scooty’s owner, narrated to Newsweek, adding, “Although she had broken her back and both hips, she still seemed to be so happy.”

The proud dog owner further shared, “I got her a wheelchair immediately and she took to it right away. She’s always loved her wheelchair and is always zooming around in it.”
