While “Bluey” may not be a household name for those outside of Australia, its upcoming global release signals the animated series’ growing popularity worldwide. Disney+ is going to stream the show’s special episodes globally. Disney Branded Television, BBC Studios Kids & Family, and Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) are excited to unveil the global debut of the show’s next installments.

Award-winning Australian children’s TV show ‘Bluey’ unveils special episodes premiering in April on Disney+

The animated children’s series “Bluey” will make its first global rollout in April, as per That Hashtag Show. Jointly commissioned by Disney Branded Television, BBC Studios Kids & Family, and ABC, the show’s special episodes will be available to stream on the streaming giant Disney+.

This celebration marks the release of the upcoming episodes “Ghostbasket” and “The Sign.” “Ghostbasket” will be of standard length, characteristic of the series’ short episodes. However, standing out as a special, “The Sign” will be a 28-minute-long episode. In fact, this will be the longest episode of the show to date, spanning just over three times the length of a typical episode.

The series revolves around the everyday life of an anthropomorphic puppy. He is a Blue Heeler, residing in Brisbane, Queensland, with his canine family. Set in a vibrant neighborhood, the show follows the puppy’s adventures as he interacts with a diverse cast of dog characters representing various breeds.

Australian parents and kids love this animated series. In addition, it has made waves beyond Australia as well. Interestingly, it became viral on TikTok recently as the show dogs also love to watch.

People have come up with a variety of theories about why our furry friends like watching “Bluey.” The main one is that dogs are attracted to the colors in the show, which are predominantly blues and yellows.

“Ghostbasket” is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Following this, “The Sign” will debut on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Both episodes will initially air on ABC Kids in Australia before being released on Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney Channel in all available regions except China and New Zealand.
