Family desperately searches for dog missing from Las Vegas vet and boarding facility
Before leaving for their vacation in Italy, a Las Vegas family dropped their furry friend at a facility to help care for him while they were away. However, when they returned from their two-week vacation, the dog was missing from the vet and boarding facility. Moreover, the vet was a trusted professional with whom they had previously left their beloved pet, Murphy.
The family has been frantically searching for him for a week but has not found any leads. Murphy is about eight years old and was adopted by Lynn Vasquez about five years ago. He was saved from a hoarding situation and wasn’t in the best state when he was first brought in.
Vasquez told Fox 5 that their home has gone quiet with their furry friend missing. She noted that while she was shocked at the news and crying, her husband was furious when the vet informed the couple they couldn’t find Murphy. Moreover, the vet and boarding facility didn’t notify them about their dog missing until they went to pick him up.
They initially tried to file a police report. However, the family was informed that it was a civil matter, so they would need to file a civil suit. They have also posted about the lost dog on social media in hopes of kind samaritans helping them find Murphy. However, most of all, they want answers from the facility that lost their beloved pet to begin with.
