Tristan, a charming Golden Retriever, is winning hearts on the internet for becoming the “best of buddies” with a cute little kitten. The dog reportedly found the small black kitten in his owner’s backyard. He was ecstatic to find the feline and immediately informed his owner, Aly Conyers, about them.
According to Conyers, it’s in Tristan’s nature to spot orphaned animals. Per People Magazine, she said, “Tristan has a habit of finding orphaned animals…I don’t know how he does it; he has a radar for it.” Aly Conyers further claims that Tristan has a heart “made of gold.”

People Magazine reported that in July 2024, the canine’s owner, Aly Conyers, saw him “going wild” to get her attention. It was the Golden Retriever dog’s way of letting her know about the new little kitten friend he had found in the backyard. Conyers says that she found Tristan “whining and barking, and staring at this little bitty bundle stuck in the grass.”
After finding the tiny black kitten, Aly Conyers wished to return them to their mother. However, when the mama cat failed to appear, she started caring for the kitten. Since then, Tristan and the small black kitten have become the closest friends. The Golden Retriever dog gives the cute kitten friend he found snuggles, and they thoroughly enjoy hanging out with each other in the sun.
Aly Conyers continues, “I just think it’s the funniest thing because this kitten will always try to move towards Tristan, even when he was really little and just waddling around,…I have other dogs here, and they all want to see him, but that cat could care less about them, but he loves Tristan.”
As seen in the above TikTok video, the two furry friends have indeed formed a precious bond.
