The rescue organization shared the dog’s first time walking in the grass, making a bed nest, getting kisses from people, and more. Non-profit organization The Mr. Mo Project (TikTok user @themrmoproject) put up a heartbreaking video of a starved rescue dog that they named Anchovie. The video, which garnered 11 million viewers and over 784K likes on the platform, showcases Anchovie’s “firsts” after getting rescued. Anchovie walked on the grass for the first time and received sweet kisses from people. The video was evidence of the transformation as compared to when the organization got him from the shelter.

Anchovie’s other “firsts” included making his bed nest, first tail wag, dinner at home, walk around the home and in the backyard. Meanwhile, the organization kept followers updated on their rescue dog’s recovery. Soon, Anchovie found his voice back, ate good meals, walked stable without support, and even gained 1.3 lbs. The rescue dog showed remarkable recovery in three weeks and opened up more with people.

Marking a significant improvement in his health, the organization said, “Big day for Anchovie! When he first came here, he was so fearful, today he walked down both ramps! He is opening up more and more every day. I can’t wait to see what he’s doing in a few weeks.”
