“Deadpool & Wolverine” star Ryan Reynolds recently revealed that his four-legged furry co-star Peggy, who portrays Dogpool in the 2024 Marvel film, has also played the role of an intimacy coordinator while on the film. The beloved actor has given homage to Peggy, the star dog of the movie, in his unique, witty, and hilarious style.
On Monday, August 12, 2024, Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram to share a post showcasing stills of Peggy as his character Dogpool and Peggy with him and his co-star Hugh Jackman. In the caption of the post, the 47-year-old actor discloses that Peggy’s role as an intimacy coordinator has been an absolute “disaster” from the very beginning to the end.
Ryan Reynolds lists why Dogpool serving as intimacy coordinator was a ‘problem’
As mentioned earlier, Ryan Reynolds has brought his unique sense of humor on Instagram to reveal the “biggest problem” of having his canine co-star Peggy, aka Dogpool, as the intimacy coordinator for “Deadpool & Wolverine.” In the caption of the recently shared Instagram post, the actor writes, “Peggy. Dogpool. Mary Puppins. She goes by many names. She’s obviously a very special cast member. What many don’t know, is that she was also the Intimacy Coordinator on #DeadpoolAndWolverine. Which was a complete disaster, start to finish.”
Reynolds then goes on to further disclose the reason behind the “disaster.” The actor continues, “What kind of Intimacy Coordinator says hello each morning by hurling her leathery, 32 inch tongue into your throat and down to the bottom of your stomach? But I think the biggest problem is that she’s a f***ing dog.”
He then concludes the caption by explaining that he loves the dog and his co-star, Peggy, a lot. He also praises the dog, a Pug and Chinese Crested mix with a salient tongue, for being a good girl. Ryan Reynolds writes, “But I love this dog almost as much as she loves tasting me. She’s a good girl.” Thus, it is evident that the actor has formed a special bond with his 5-year-old furry co-star.
